Primary Purposes/FunctionResponsible for maintaining proper operation of HVAC equipment such as air handler units, heating coils, VMAs, exhaust fans as well as regular maintenance and repair activities for the hospital.
Primary Responsibilities- Answers all calls in a timely manner, prioritizing patient needs first.
- Examines and changes belt on air handling units and exhaust fans.
- Changes filters on air handlers as required.
- Changes motors on HVAC equipment as needed.
- Washes coils on air handlers, chillers, ice machines, refrigeration equipment, and reheat systems as required.
- Keeps the drain systems clean and working on the HVAC equipment.
- Completes assigned work orders within his/her shift.
- Performs duties of Maintenance Mechanic when needed.
- Assists security as needed.
- Assists all other departments as required.
- Orders needed materials.
1. High school diploma or GED preferred.
Previous Experience1. 3-5 years HVAC experience preferred.
Other Special Training/Skills- Must be able to work efficiently without constant supervision.
