We are now accepting resume/applications for experienced excavator operators for the Thibodaux, LA and surrounding areas. Duties/responsibilities may/may not be limited to the following:

• MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE OPERATING AN EXCAVATOR
• Must be able to transport/move material efficiently
• Will be operating on existing canals and/or levees
• Required skills:
• Proficient in excavators of all sizes, haul trucks, loaders and skid steers with some experience on dozer as well.
• Well versed handling trench boxes of all sizes and shapes
• Excellent organizational skills, able to multi-task
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent hand, eye and foot coordination
• Ability to work independently and self motivated
• Team player, able to get along with a diverse group of people working towards a common goal
• Duties/Responsibilities:
• Safe operation of excavator
• Operate machinery to perform activities such as excavations, back filling, trenching, ditching, slope work, erosion control, grubbing, stumping, clearing, looming, fine grading and final clean up
• Observe hand signals, grade stakes or other markings when operating machines so that work can be performed to specifications
• Handling and/or moving material
• Maintain daily logs of equipment usage, maintenance, etc.
• Perform tasks maintaining all health, safety and environmental rules and ensure all work is done in a manner which enhances the safety of the work environment
• Daily maintenance of equipment
• Physical requirements:
• Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods
• Handle and manipulate objects on a repetitive basis
• Ability to see well and distinguish between back up alarms, voices and other normal sounds consistent with construction job sites.
• Have endurance to perform tasks over long periods of time.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Required credentials:
• Driver's License/Identification
• Social Security Card/Birth Certificate
• Must provide own PPE (Hard hat, steel toes, safety glasses, & gloves)
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must be able to pass a DISA Drug screen, physical, and background check.
