Data Analyst Intern – Digi Key Corporation, Thief River Falls, MN.
Position OverviewAs a Digi Key Intern, you will participate in various aspects of the Digi Key department of which you are assigned. You will work alongside team members and have the opportunity to complete a capstone project throughout the internship. Housing:
Local campus housing (private room, private bath, and shared living space) is provided for interns selecting Thief River Falls as their internship home base. This is an essential onsite role, requiring on-site attendance.
- Assist with day-to-day tasks and projects in the assigned department.
- Support the team in their regular duties.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to brainstorming sessions.
- Collaborate with team members on various projects and initiatives.
- Conduct research and analysis as assigned.
- Maintain organized records of work and project files.
- Show a solid understanding of SQL, other querying methods, and ETL/ELT processes.
- Architect basic data structures and flows from source to target with efficiency and scalability in mind.
- Work closely with developers to understand needs and translate those into data model designs.
- Research data issues and problems in programs and other reporting tools.

Gain practical experience in the assigned department, develop a deeper understanding of Digi Key and how it operates, and improve business skills such as communication, project management, data analysis, etc. Build a professional network within the industry.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesThe best candidate will be a current student or recent graduate with education in an applicable area of study and a strong interest in hands‑on learning experiences. Must have excellent written and verbal communications skills, including average to above‑average computer ability. Be willing to take the initiative, work independently and collaboratively. Demonstrating a positive, collaborative approach is important.
Tools, Systems, and SoftwareFull Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams and Outlook.
Physical RequirementsGenerally spend the workday sitting at a workstation and operating computer devices such as keyboard, mouse, and screen. Perform repetitive motions that involve or affect the hands, head, and other parts of the body.
CompensationThe base pay range for this position is determined based on relevant experience and most recently completed year of undergraduate education and/or graduate program. Undergraduate applicants: $21.00 to $23.00. Graduate applicants: $26.00 for a Master’s degree and $29.00 for a Ph.D.
