Are you an experienced industrial maintenance professional looking to work with some of the most advanced automation technology in the world? Digi Key is seeking a Resident Maintenance Technician to support one of the largest KNAPP automated fulfillment systems globally at our Barzen distribution facility.

As a key member of our Maintenance team, you'll troubleshoot and maintain cutting‑edge electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automated systems that keep our world‑class distribution operation running efficiently.

What You’ll Do
  • Troubleshoot and repair automated conveyor and fulfillment systems
  • Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues, including PLC‑related equipment concerns
  • Maintain and optimize automated storage and retrieval systems
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial equipment
  • Support continuous improvement and uptime initiatives
  • Partner with operations and engineering teams to deliver world‑class performance
  • Train team members and document maintenance activities
What We’re Looking For
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 3+ years of industrial maintenance, machine repair, maintenance electrician, or similar experience
  • Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Experience reading electrical schematics and assembly drawings
  • Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyors, VFDs, and automated equipment
  • PLC troubleshooting experience preferred
  • Associate degree in Electrical Technology, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred
