Class A CDL Shuttle Driver

Position Details

• $7,500 sign‑on bonus. Terms apply – any person who has worked for a Performance Food Group (PFG) owned company within the last 6 months is not eligible to receive this incentive.
• Schedule:
  
  4-night work week, Sunday–Thursday evenings.
• Start Time: 6:00 PM.
• Requirement:
  Doubles endorsement required.
• Compensation: $325 per night.

As a Shuttle Driver, you will play a vital role in the operation of our business by transporting empty trailers to the Operating Company warehouse locations and delivering full trailers to domicile/shuttle yard locations. The Shuttle Driver operates a tandem trailer, tractor‑trailer, and/or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes, ensuring safe and timely delivery of goods in accordance with Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). and communicates professionally with customers, vendors, and co‑workers.

• Perform all required safety checks (pre/post trip) and inspections of tractor, truck, and trailer according to DOT regulations.
• Report all safety issues and/or repairs required.
• Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies; immediately report all safety hazards.
• Inspect trailers to ensure they are properly loaded, secured, and meet company safety standards.
• Ensure all required route paperwork is present at dispatch.
• Drive and deliver trailers according to a predetermined route schedule.
• Perform hook/unhook procedures per safety guidelines.
• Parks and stores tractor trailers in designated areas.
• Locks and secures all equipment and freight to prevent loss or theft.
• Collects and secures damaged goods and customer returns in empty trailers, returns them to the base facility, and completes necessary paperwork.
• Unloads all equipment, materials, and removes trash from trailers as required.
• Completes daily record of hours of service and enters them in the log in accordance with Federal DOT, state, and company requirements.
• Performs general housekeeping duties in the tractor, loading dock area, and keeps trailers clear and clean as required.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 6 months of commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL A with Doubles endorsement.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable).
• Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past 3 years.
• Work required 3rd shift schedule, Sunday–Thursday nights (schedules may vary).
• Pass pre‑employment drug test.
• Pass road test.
• Valid current DOT Health Card and/or ability to secure a new DOT Health Card.
• Able to hand‑lift and utilize a two‑wheeler, lift gate, and/or other equipment to move and/or stack product cases/freight of varying size and weight throughout shift; product generally ranges from approximately 60 to 90 pounds.
