Vehicle Technician

Our client, a reputable independent garage in Thirsk, is seeking an experienced Specialist Vehicle Technician to become part of their expanding team.

• Basic salary up to approximately £38,000
• No weekend work;
  Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, with an hour for lunch
• Bonus paid on work brought in via referrals

• Perform repairs, diagnostics, and servicing on various vehicles as a Vehicle Technician
• Undertake major engine and electrical system repairs
• Conduct detailed diagnostic checks to identify faults
• Inspect vehicles for general wear and tear
• Execute advanced tasks such as tuning, retrofitting, and engineering modifications
• Complete complex repairs for high-performance and specialised vehicles as a Vehicle Technician
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and maintain high standards of workmanship

• Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Repair/Technician or equivalent
• Proven experience working within a garage or main dealership environment
• Excellent technical knowledge and diagnostic skills
• Full UK driving licence
• Own set of tools for vehicle repairs
• Experience in the areas of retrofitting, engine modifications, tuning, or race work is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
