Position: HEAD OF PROJECTS - LUXURY RESORTS
MPG Hotels and Infrastructure Ventures,   the Hospitality and Real Estate division of   Muthoot Pappachan Group (MPG)   is hiring an experienced   Project Head   to lead the development and execution of its branded luxury hospitality portfolio in Kerala.
The   Project Head   is responsible for planning, developing, and execution of luxury resort and hotel projects, working closely with leading hospitality brands, international design teams, consultants, and contractors. overseeing hospitality projects from concept to operational handover. This role ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality, safety, and brand standards while delivering exceptional guest experiences and business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

a) Project Planning & Development
Lead end-to-end development of hospitality projects including hotels, resorts, and related hospitality facilities.
Prepare project plans, budgets, timelines, and resource allocation strategies.
Coordinate feasibility studies, market assessments, and project viability analyses.
Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables aligned with organizational goals.
Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Achievement of project ROI objectives.
Expansion / addition of the existing luxury hotels of the Group.

b) Stakeholder Management
Identifying new Consultants / Suppliers / Contractors for the project
Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, vendors, government authorities, and internal teams.
Act as the primary liaison between ownership, project teams, and operational management.
Manage relationships with hospitality operators, architects, consultants, and brand representatives.
Supervision of Project Management Consultants (PMC)

c) Construction Management
Oversee all construction activities ensuring adherence to approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
Monitor progress through regular site reviews and project meetings.
Ensure timely completion of projects within approved budgets.
Coordinate civil, structural, MEP, interior fit-out, landscaping, and external development works.

d) Financial Management
Develop and manage project budgets and capital expenditure plans.
Monitor project costs and approve expenditures within delegated authority.
Ensure effective procurement planning and contract administration
Identify cost optimization opportunities without compromising quality Prepare and monitor project budgets and cash flow forecasts.
Evaluate contractor bills, variation orders, and project claims.

e) Pre-Opening & Operations Readiness
Lead pre-opening activities including staffing, SOP development, procurement, licensing, and operational setup.
Coordinate with operations teams to ensure seamless transition from project completion to business operations.
Establish service standards aligned with brand and business objectives.

f) Quality & Compliance
Ensure all projects meet hospitality industry standards and brand requirements.
Conduct periodic audits and reviews of project quality and compliance.
Implement best practices in project management, sustainability, and guest-centric design.
Implement robust quality assurance and quality control processes.
Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, statutory regulations, environmental norms, and hospitality brand standards.
Monitor health, safety, and environmental compliance across project sites.

g) Leadership & Team Management
Lead the internal team of engineers and mentor project managers and cross-functional teams.
Foster collaboration, accountability, and high-performance culture.
Drive continuous improvement and innovation across projects.
Foster a high-performance culture focused on collaboration, accountability, and excellence.
Conduct performance reviews and support talent development initiatives.

h) Risk Management
Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure smooth project delivery.
Identify project risks and develop mitigation plans.
Proactively address delays, cost overruns, resource constraints, and technical challenges.
Ensure business continuity and project delivery objectives are achieved.

i) Project Handover & Commissioning
To ensure optimum quality and timeline of the projects
Oversee testing, commissioning, snag closure, and final project handover.
Ensure readiness of facilities for operational launch.
Coordinate with hotel operations teams for smooth transition and opening.
