Paraprofessional I (more than 25 hours per week; 10 months) Per CSDE, applicants must have: earned a secondary school diploma, or its equivalent. Completed 2 years of study at an institution of higher education, or earned an Associate's Degree (or higher), or achieved at least a score of 457 on the ETS Para Pro (thru August 31, 2026), or achieved at least a score of 332 in Section
1. Reading and Writing; and a score of 334 in Section
2. Mathematics in the new ETS Para Pathways (as of September 1, 2025) Assessment.

Hours per Regular School Day: 7.0 hour shift per regular, in-person school day (6.5 paid hours; 0.5 unpaid lunch break; no additional breaks)

The Thomaston Public Schools district is located in Thomaston, Connecticut which encompasses a land area of 12 square miles and has a population of 7,922. The Town is 10 miles south of Torrington, 23 miles west of Hartford and is bordered by Waterbury, Plymouth, Harwinton, Litchfield, and Watertown.
