- 3:30 P.M.), Monday - Friday

This position will be part of the Special Services Unit;
Bureau of Highway Operations located in District 4 (Thomaston). The Special Services Unit is responsible for inspection of drainage structures, culverts, and catch basins, with a concentration on MS4, and potential environmental impacts of regulated areas within DOT properties.
You will handle property owner and municipal complaints, some of which may require the creation of a Maintenance work order. As the District's Drainage Engineer, you will be assigned to assist and carry out direction from the Bureau of Highway Operations Administration and Maintenance Manager in accordance with federal and state statutes, policies, and regulations. If you’re familiar with DOT’s Hydraulics and Drainage Manual, Encroachment Permit Regulations and policies, procedures, statutes, and regulations relative to drainage easements this is the role you’ve been looking for!

Applicants must be available to travel for training, conferences, meetings, field reviews, etc. both within and outside of normal working hours, when necessary, and must possess and retain a valid driver’s license.
