Responsible for accurately collecting and preparing materials, components, and documentation required for cable assembly work orders. This role plays a vital part in the quality control of products, the efficiency and productivity of operations, and the company’s ability to meet its customer requirements. and verifying all items are complete and ready for assembly. The ideal candidate has a strong attention to detail, can successfully work in a fast-paced environment, and meets safety, quality, and productivity goals.
Inthis function you will:
- Pull and verify parts, materials, and documentation required for production work orders based on BOMs and kit lists.
- Ensure all kit contents are accurate, complete, and properly labeled before release to inspection.
- Communicate material shortages or discrepancies to the appropriate departments.
- Return and record excess or unused materials to inventory upon kit completion.
- Track inventory quantities during the kitting process.
- Assist with cycle counts, inventory reconciliations, and shelf audits as needed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in accordance with company lean practices.
- Support cross-functional teams as required to ensure on-time production readiness.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent qualification from an accredited school.
- 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse, production, or inventory control related role, preferably in manufacturing.
- Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Only candidates in the immediate geographic area (50-mile radius) will be considered.
- Experience with ERP or inventory management systems preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret work orders and production documentation.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Must be able to work in a manufacturing floor setting and required to follow the PPE requirements.
- Ability to communicate with managers, engineering, and quality regarding production and issues.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 35 lbs.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Repetitive motion including but not limited to lifting, bending, and squatting is inherent to this position
