The Molding Operator Technician III is a key member of the Silgan Dispensing team, responsible for maintaining equipment, optimizing production runs, and ensuring the quality of molded components.

• Operate molding machines and perform quality checks as required.
• Measure, examine, and test molded part units to detect malfunctions or out‑of‑tolerance conditions.
• Adjust machine or fixtures as necessary.
• Document mold changes, machine adjustments, troubleshooting, and equipment maintenance.
• Install and remove molds or mold tools.
• Maintain mold and equipment through the PM Program and keep the work area clean and organized.
• Collaborate with production personnel to meet component requirements and schedules.
• Generate documentation on mold runs for traceability and reproducibility.
• Work with quality and manufacturing departments to meet company standards.
• Coordinate repairs with the mold shop as needed.
• Set up and water molds, set hot manifold controllers, and configure grinders and regrind controls.
• Enter process sheets and conduct first‑piece inspections.
• Perform advanced mold/press maintenance, including greasing and addressing core and cavity issues.
• Troubleshoot machine issues, identify root causes, and determine corrective actions.
• Maintain cycle times and drive continuous improvement strategies to identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Program and troubleshoot robots and interact with the tool room and engineering to resolve mold and process issues.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic shop math and computer skills.
• Basic machine troubleshooting skills and ability to solve mechanical issues.
• Ability to work independently, be proactive, and analyze, interpret, and report data based on machine performance.
• Physical ability to lift or move up to 35 lbs and use PPE on the production floor.

• Willingness to assist cross‑functional groups as needed.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize work and work independently.
