The Assembly Operator Technician III position is an important role on the Silgan Dispensing team and offers a great opportunity for those looking to advance their skills. Our plant produces thousands of dispensing products each day, and it is essential to keep the production line running efficiently and continuously. The Assembly Operator Technician III keeps our equipment operational by setting up, optimizing production runs, and performing quality checks as needed for each machine.

• Ensure the safe, efficient completion of the assembly process in a high quality and repeatable manner.
• Complete a wide variety of complicated machine set‑ups (e.g., dip tube changes, mechanical parts changes).
• Perform quality checks/audits during production runs through visual inspection aligned with the quality plan.
• Measure, examine and test assembly units to detect malfunctions or out‑of‑tolerance conditions; adjust machines or fixtures as necessary.
• Perform preventive maintenance on assembly machines to maintain equipment and reduce downtime.
• Identify efficiency improvement, cost‑saving and quality improvement opportunities.
• Participate in EH&S reviews.
• Assist with CI activities as needed: root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate documentation of quality inspection results and production results.
• Ensure outgoing products follow required specifications.
• Escalate identified safety, quality and performance issues as needed.
• Train and support others within the value stream.
• Support machine disassembly.
• Troubleshoot issues beyond basic resets, identify incorrect machine messages and determine root causes/corrective actions.
• Determine corrective actions on electrical parts or electrical‑related issues.
• Drive continuous improvement strategies.
• Support on‑time delivery by running assembly machines if needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Basic shop math and computer skills.
• Basic machine troubleshooting skills and ability to solve mechanical issues.
• Willingness to assist cross‑functional groups based on needs.
• Ability to work independently and be proactive.
• Ability to analyze, interpret and report data based on machine performance.
• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to learn, grow and adapt to changing business needs.

• Ability to prioritize work.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
