Industrial Electrician

Night Shift Earn Up to $40.74 Hourly + $1.25 Shift Premium + Competitive Incentives

Interfor is seeking experienced Industrial Electricians in Thomaston, Georgia for a high‑impact overnight role. The pay structure includes: up to $40.74 per hour based on skill level and experience, a $1.25 per hour night shift premium, and a quarterly Gainshare bonus (performance based).

• Perform electrical repair and improvement projects throughout the entire mill site.
• Read, write, and understand electrical schematics, equipment drawings, and blueprints.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance duties.
• Troubleshoot, maintain and repair all Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) controls, A.C. inverters, or any other control systems throughout the mill site.
• Adhere to an absolute lock‑out policy, ensuring that the power source is turned off, machine locked out, and tested to ensure isolation.
• Effectively manage and plan work to accomplish job tasks with minimal direct supervision.
• Submit work requests and fill out completed work orders listing work done, parts used, and time taken to complete the job.
• Perform any other duties in any area requested by Supervisor.

Walking, standing, sitting, climbing stairs, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

• Minimum of three years of related experience or a technical degree in a closely related field.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to work safely from elevated platforms and heights.
• Skilled in training others and supporting preventive maintenance of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Willingness to learn to operate mill equipment to perform test runs following repairs.
• Flexibility with schedules, including weekends, holidays, and call‑ins as needed.
• Self‑motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.
