Position: Office Assistant-Registrar's Office (PT)
To provide office assistance, administrative support, and/or technology support in an assigned area.

At a minimum, the essential functions of this position shall include:
Perform general clerical duties including, but not limited to, keyboarding, filing, copying, note-taking, transcribing, ordering inventory and supplies, and other office operations.Provide optimal customer service and serve as the receptionist for the department.Receive and direct incoming telephone calls and visitors.Process and distribute mail, etc.Prepare documents and create requisitions.Assist the supervisor with administrative support as assigned per division.Assist in planning and organizing department events.Maintain and safeguard the confidentiality of documents, general files, student records, etc.If employed in the Information Technology department, may be required to assist with IT help desk, installation of software/systems, other duties commensurate with entry-level IT support, etc.Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the appropriate administrator/supervisor.All positions at Coastal Alabama have the job responsibilities below:
Handles sensitive information in a confidential manner.Maintains a highly professional attitude and demeanor at all times.Provides responsible, appropriate, and satisfactory leadership on campus and within the College.Communicates positively and professionally in all aspects of the position.Attends all employee meetings, College meetings, and professional development activities.Becomes thoroughly familiar with all pertinent state and national policies and comply with said policies.Services on and provides information to college committees as needed.Complies with ACCS and College policies, as well as state and federal laws.Ensures the positive promotion of the College and integration of all campuses within the College.Is prompt and punctual in reporting for work, meetings, and office hours.Performs other duties as assigned.Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED; an Associate degree or higher is preferredSome experience working in a fast-paced office setting is preferredProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook (A skills test may be administered)Experience using Ellucian software or similar software is preferredMust have effective oral and written communication skillsMust have the ability to multitask, prioritize, and have good time managementMust have the ability to resolve issues associated with the workMust be detail-oriented and possess good organizational skillsMust be flexible and adaptableMust have an orientation for people and the ability to work with the publicMust be able to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and deal with stressMust be able to work a flexible schedulePreferred Qualifications
