Job Description
- • Complete routine cleanup and inspections of equipment in mill.
• Know the sizes of rough and finished lumber.
• Required to learn multiple operator functions within the sawmill to provide relief for breaks and vacations.
• Perform daily quality checks.
• Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations and utilizing safety equipment.
• Must be willing to learn various operator jobs within the mill.

- • Willing to work any shift including weekends, holidays, or overtime as needed.
• Commitment to safety.
• Excellent attendance record.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to learn and adapt to change.
• Ability to adhere to all safety policies and regulations including wearing safety equipment.
• Ability to work in noisy environment.
Physical Requirements
- • Ability to lift at least 40 pounds.
• Ability to work from elevated positions using required safety gear and procedures.
• Ability to perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for extended periods of time.
• Able to work in a variety of environmental conditions.
Education Requirements
- • High School Diploma or GED required.
Additional Comments
- Preferred Experience:
• Driving and operating a mobile equipment such as front end loader, skid steer or forklift within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Basic computer skills.
• Experience working in lumber or wood products industry and/or manufacturing.
• Experience troubleshooting equipment.
• Sawmill experience preferred.
