The Accounting Specialist maintains financial records and ensures that financial transactions for this location are properly recorded. This role ensures the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts — including Accounts Receivable — to the general ledger. The Accounting Specialist compiles financial data to aid more senior accountants in the preparation of balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports, and assists in analyzing current costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to help predict future revenues and expenses.
For this location, the role carries primary responsibility for Accounts Receivable invoicing functions, including all related computer entries, filing, research, invoice preparation and dispatch, and contact with outside representatives and customers. The Accounting Specialist works closely with other members of the finance team to ensure reporting goals and schedules are met.

Do You Qualify- Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required. (An Associate's degree with documented intent to pursue a Bachelor's will suffice to start the position.) - Experience:
Three (3) to five (5) years of relevant accounting experience, with strong skills and abilities in computer data entry. High competency with Microsoft Office applications required. Experience with IFS systems is an asset. - Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
