job description: job summary: this is hourly paid work performing and assisting with food service duties. Seeking a candidate with a passion for food services and motivation for advancement to fill a food service worker position. This position is part-time and requires less than 30 hours per week and is not eligible for benefits.

Note:

this is a 29 hour per week position. Under direct supervision learns to prepare, heat and finish cooking food items and serve customers. Learns how to receive and disburse money in a food service establishment. Cleans work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes, and silverware.

• cleans work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes, and silverware
• cleans, peels, slices and trims foodstuffs using manual and electric appliances
• conducts or assists with food supply requisitions and sanitation and maintenance inspections
• receives payment for food items
• replenishes supplies of food, condiments, and equipment at steam tables and service bars
• stores food in designated containers and storage areas to prevent spoilage
• unpacks and stores supplies, raw and prepared food products

minimum qualifications: an equivalent combination of knowledge, education, job or intern experience, training, or certifications that provides the necessary knowledge and skills to successfully perform the job at the level listed.

preferred qualifications: in addition to entry qualifications, preferred qualifications may be added by the agency.
