Travel RN - Med​/Surg

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg RN for a day shift position requiring recent Med/Surg experience and a GA or compact RN license.

Job Details

• Work in a hospital Medical Surgical unit,

• Day shift position with 3x12 or 4x12 hour schedule options (7:00-19:00),

• Expected to work every other weekend,

• Floating to other units may be required,

• Patient care documentation using Soarian EMR system,

• 13-week assignment with possible extension,

Job Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required,

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred,

• Minimum one year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience required,

• Prior travel nursing experience preferred,

• Demonstrated charge nurse skills required,

• Must wear royal blue scrubs (not provided),

• Submission must include updated NURSYS verification and Driver's License to confirm address for eligibility,

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include providing comprehensive care to medical-surgical patients and floating as needed,

• Team structure may involve charge nurse duties,

• Pre-employment online modules are required prior to starting the assignment,

• Minimal requested time off is allowed, especially around holidays,

• Candidates must reside more than 30 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel pay rates; those within 31-50 miles are considered local and will be paid at a local rate, while those less than 30 miles are not eligible,

• Royal blue scrub attire is required during all shifts,
