  • Clean and disinfect patient rooms, bathrooms, nursing stations, operating rooms, and public areas.
  • Follow infection control standards, including proper use of disinfectants and dwell times
  • Maintain cleaning supplies.
  • Perform daily terminal cleaning according to hospital protocols.
  • Collect and transport regulated medical waste, trash, and recycling.
  • Remove soiled linens in accordance with infection control guidelines.
  • Deliver and restock clean linens and supplies as needed.
  • Follow OSHA, CDC, and hospital safety guidelines.
  • Wear proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at all times.
  • Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply shortages promptly.
  • Participate in ongoing training related to infection prevention and workplace safety.
  • Interact professionally and compassionately with patients and hospital staff.
  • Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality (HIPAA compliance).
  • May have to perform other duties as required.

SKILLS and

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least 19 years of age
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Previous experience in cleaning services preferred.
  • Minimum of one to two years in a professional work environment required.
  • Authorized to work for any employer within the United States.
  • Must meet the healthcare facility's pre-assignment and medical requirements.
  • Must pass all onboarding screening processes.
  • With professionalism, integrity, and compassion, you support your team and together represent BHC Healthcare throughout the facility.
  • Works well independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to adequately operate apps/technology on a tablet and learn new software that may have to be applied to the daily tasks for this role.
  • Ability to effectively build relationships with patients, guests, and team members.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift 40-50lbs, push equipment, bend, and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Role may include assignments in Emergency Room or Behavioral Health Units.
  • Role requires continuous physical engagement including walking and standing for extended periods of time.
