Bringing Home the DoughIndustrial Maintenance Technicians ensure optimal efficiency is achieved by performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, with safety and quality standards being a top priority. They must possess a technical mindset and demonstrate strong mechanical capabilities, while being flexible and adaptable as they will be required to rotate job assignments throughout various areas of the bakery. Industrial Maintenance Technicians must have the aptitude and drive to seek and acquire on‑going training due to ever evolving technological improvements and performance standards.
Role requires the ability to climb fixed and portable ladders to a height of twenty (20) feet, the ability to stoop and bend while lifting weights up to fifty (50) pounds, and the ability to climb onto and under machinery, as required.
Rising to the Challenge:Position Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Demonstrate safe work habits, proper tool selection and usage, general shop practices, maintenance tasks, knowledge of support equipment, and thorough knowledge of critical equipment components and critical equipment operational sequencing
- Demonstrate knowledge of electrical welding, gas welding, cutting, soldering, pipe fittings, and metal fabrication (milling and lathe)
- Identify and inspect mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components
- Rebuild mechanical drive components such as clutches, brakes, etc.
- Verify and correct mechanical timing
- Perform proper component lubrication and conduct preventive maintenance on specific equipment
- Identify mechanical wear and identify, troubleshoot, and replace mechanical drive and conveyor components
- Use SAP software for parts checkout, reporting, and general data entry
- Practice learned knowledge of environmental and maintenance programs
- Maintain clean and safe work environment
- Practice and comply with all Company policies and procedures (EEO, Harassment, Safety, Sarbanes Oxley, etc.)
- Perform other duties which are deemed by management to be an integral part of the job, including but not limited to fulfillment of work schedules, adherence to attendance policies, and other applicable operating rules, policies and procedures
- Possess or attain licenses required by their respective municipal, county/ward or state regulatory agencies to work with boilers, refrigeration components and various other job‑related equipment
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience as a technician in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, welding, electrical, industrial equipment, automotive repairs, or related field
- High school diploma or equivalent, Technical/Trade School certification or diploma a plus
