• Assist supervisors in shift production operations and demonstrate competency for all on‑job activities affecting product safety, legality, and quality.
• Ensure production employees are instructed and trained in the care and safe operations of equipment.
• Review records and procedures to ensure proper use of time and materials; perform continuous inspection of products to meet quality standards.
• Ensure all equipment is in good operating condition.
• Promote positive relations and interdepartmental communication and cooperation.
• Operate facility metal detector(s); operator must be fully trained and certified.
• Enforce safety policies and procedures, including inspections and periodic safety meetings; maintain a safe working environment for all personnel.
• Cover for employees on sick leave, vacation, etc.
• Plan and adjust work assignments to cover all production phases.
• Maintain cleanliness of work area.
• Ensure compliance with company rules, policies, and procedures (EEO, Sexual Harassment, Safety, Sarbanes‑Oxley, etc.).
• Perform other duties as directed by supervision.
• Complete AIB Master Baker Correspondence Course.
• Perform other duties deemed integral to the job, including schedules, attendance, and applicable operating rules.

• Two or more years of production experience in an industrial food manufacturing facility, preferably in bun production.
• Basic knowledge of all bun production procedures and ability to operate the related machines.
• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.

• Ability to read, comprehend, record, and communicate information relevant to the job (e.g., production schedules, FDA & CDC guidelines, safety requirements, policies).
• Ability to stand a minimum of 8 hours and a maximum of 16 hours daily.
• Physically capable of rapid, unimpeded movements to all production areas; reach, bend, stoop, climb, push, pull as required.
• Hearing, vision and smell sufficient to detect equipment malfunctions, evaluate product quality, and set gauges, dials, rulers, guides.
• Demonstrated ability to read, comprehend, and record information related to safety and production standards; communicate clearly in English in person, telephone, or paging device.

Salary Range: $26.13 – $27.11 per hour.
