Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Medical Surgical Oncology Nurse

Provide compassionate and high-quality medical-surgical nursing care on an oncology floor. Ensure patient safety, monitor vital signs, and administer treatments while adhering to clinical protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult oncology patients in a fast-paced environment.
• Monitor patient conditions, including vital signs and telemetry, and respond promptly to changes.
• Administer IV therapies, medications, and perform wound care according to physician orders.
• Document patient progress accurately in electronic medical records systems such as Cerner and Soarian.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, including BLS certification and infection control standards.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license with active credentials.
• Demonstrate minimum of one year recent Med Surg experience, with oncology experience highly preferred.
• Possess current BLS certification.
• Have proficiency with telemetry, IV starts, and EMR systems (Cerner & Soarian).
• Be able to handle high patient ratios (1:6 or 1:7) and function effectively under block scheduling.
• Travel experience and previous tele-travel roles are a plus.
