Travel RN - Telemetry - Stepdown

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Stepdown RN for a 13-week travel assignment requiring 3+ years of recent stepdown experience and telemetry skills.

• Active RN license (GA state or compact) required, or proof of pending licensure
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 3+ years of recent Stepdown experience required
• Skills required include telemetry monitoring, IV starts, and IV therapy/phlebotomy
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and management required
• Experience with vasoactive and cardiac drip titration preferred
• Experience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, and oxygen administration preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Driver's license and updated Nursys verification required for residency confirmation

• Stepdown/CPU unit within a hospital setting
• 1:5 patient ratio
• Cardiac telemetry, MS/Tele, and neurological/CVA patient population
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• Holiday coverage required
• Cerner EMR used
• Provide direct patient care in a stepdown/CPU environment including cardiac monitoring, IV therapy, and respiratory management
• Royal blue scrubs required (not provided)
• Previous travel experience preferred but not required
• Minimal RTO accepted, especially around holidays
• Local candidates residing within 31-50 miles of the facility accepted at local rate
• Candidates residing less than 30 miles from the facility are not accepted
• Up to 8 hours of non-billable training modules required prior to start, completed via Health Stream
