Warehouse Forklift Operator 1st Shift

Overview

Ryder is hiring a Storeroom Attendant / Forklift Operator in Thomasville, GA. Weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a career you can feel good about.

Warehouse positions pay weekly. Primary responsibilities include supporting distribution across the US in clean, organized facilities to provide a safe supply chain environment.

• Perform warehouse functions, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting
• Perform duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
• Responsible for accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products, and loading/unloading of trucks
• Handle day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading)
• Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shift hours of production
• Performs other duties as assigned

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
• Valid forklift operator’s license certified
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
• Ability to work within a diverse work environment
• Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization
• Detail oriented with high accuracy; able to work under pressure
• Must be able to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs; stand for long periods
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule on various shifts
• Must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to meet Ryder’s driving qualifications
