Operations Safety Technician

As an Operations Safety Technician
, you will help implement and track EHS initiatives and training. You will partner with multiple layers of the plant organization, demonstrate a safety mindset, and promote a positive work environment and safe behaviors.

• Conduct new hire training and EHS training and assessments.
• Organize and run safety committee meetings.
• Support in the approval of work permits to employees and contractors.
• Manage the maintenance of emergency and fire protection equipment.
• Help exceed site goals by administering the near‑misses and hazard reports program.
• Assist with 5S documentation and audits.
• Conduct emergency drills.
• Support PSSRs and MOCs.
• Update site communication boards.
• Enter incident data into the database, liaise with corporate EHS, lead investigations, and conduct root‑cause analysis.
• Maintain shop‑floor presence and engagement.
• Act with safety and look for risk‑reduction opportunities.

• Minimum Education:
  
  High School Graduate.
• Operations experience or EHS experience is preferred.
