The High School Engineering Intern position is a part‑time opportunity designed for students interested in exploring careers in engineering, manufacturing, or technology. Students will split their time between attending school and gaining hands‑on experience at Cleaver‑Brooks in the Engineering department.
This internship provides valuable exposure to professional work practices, project support, and cross‑functional collaboration in an engineering environment.
Responsibilities- Support the Engineering team with submittals, order entry, and project documentation.
- Assist with various engineering‑related tasks under the guidance of staff engineers.
- Learn and apply workplace practices in a professional environment.
- Collaborate with a cross‑functional team to gain exposure to engineering workflows and processes.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental needs.
- Currently enrolled as a high school student.
- Interest in pursuing a technical certification, 2‑year degree, or 4‑year degree in engineering, manufacturing, technology, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Ability to balance school and part‑time work schedule.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
This is a part‑time position coordinated with the student’s school schedule. Students will attend school part of the day and work at Cleaver‑Brooks for the remainder, with hours determined in coordination with school requirements.
