What We NeedThe Sr Process Engineer is a high performing contributor that serves as a subject matter expert and is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to ensure efficient production of high-quality products. This role involves analyzing current processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve overall operational efficiency.
What You’ll Do- Design and develop manufacturing processes, workflows, and procedures to optimize efficiency and quality.
- Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement in existing processes.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
- Participate on product and new process development teams, making recommendations of manufacturing feasibility and evaluating expenditures.
- Recommend manufacturing concepts while developing and implementing suitable manufacturing processes.
- Identify equipment allocations and unique tooling required for new product implementation.
- Implement and coordinate revisions and improvements to tooling according to customer or product specifications.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Production, and Maintenance teams to implement process changes and improvements.
- Provide technical support and guidance to other teams as needed.
- Perform high quality analysis consistently.
- Find ways to assess and apply innovative ideas to enhance business results.
- Successfully lead after-action reviews to identify, document, and share lessons learned.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to evaluate technical, system, and process improvements.
- Perform other duties as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- 4-6 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Six-Sigma and/or Lean certifications are desirable.
- Requires in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in own job discipline.
- Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential data.
- Flexible attitude, adaptable to change, team player, and able to handle multiple projects at once.
- Occasional exposure to hazardous conditions caused by noise, moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, and other conditions associated with a high-traffic production floor.
- Must be able to walk long distances and stand for long periods of time.
- Bending, crouching, and stooping may be required.
- Must be able to work in non-climate-controlled facilities.
- The work environment may be a noisy, high traffic manufacturing production floor.
- May be required to work a flexible schedule to include evening and night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- The ability to wear personal protective gear correctly most of the day.
- The ability to lift 50 pounds regularly.
