Position Summary
As the Frame Operations Production Supervisor
, you will be the driving force behind our frame cutting, assembly and woodworking operations. You will oversee the production process, ensuring that our furniture is crafted safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This is a "hand‑on" leadership role requiring a blend of technical and mechanical expertise, rigorous safety management, and the ability to mentor a diverse workforce in a fast‑paced environment.
- Production Oversight & Workflow: Supervise and coordinate daily activities to meet established safety, quality, and output targets. Monitor schedules and resource allocation to optimize workflow and minimize downtime.
- Enforce SOPs, work instructions, and manufacturing best practices.
- Real‑time problem solving:
Identify and resolve production bottlenecks or process issues immediately, escalating when necessary. - Shift Management:
Oversee shift start‑up and shutdown to ensure seamless transitions and continuous productivity. - Safety, Health & Environmental: Lead by example, enforce all company safety policies and foster a safety‑first culture. Conduct toolbox talks and safety observations; investigate all incidents and near‑misses. Collaborate with the Safety team to identify risks and maintain a clean, compliant workspace.
- People Leadership & Development: Coach and mentor hourly production employees to drive performance, engagement, and accountability. Conduct regular performance reviews and participate in annual wage appraisal processes. Manage attendance and timekeeping (ADP), ensuring accurate hours and pay rule application. Support recruitment, lead onboarding for new hires, and manage corrective actions in partnership with HR.
- Quality & Continuous Improvement: Partner with Quality and Maintenance teams to correct process deviations and reduce customer claims. Promote lean manufacturing principles and involve employees in active problem‑solving. Monitor and report on safety, quality, productivity, scrap rates, and absenteeism.
- Communication & Reporting: Maintain precise shift logs, downtime reports, and employee records. Facilitate shift huddles to communicate priorities and safety alerts. Provide comprehensive verbal and written handoffs.

Qualifications & Requirements- Experience:
3+ years of proven track record in a supervisory or management role within a factory or manufacturing facility (Furniture industry required). - Technical
Skills:
Strong mechanical knowledge of assembly lines, industrial equipment, power tools, and hand tools. Highly skilled in wood craft. - Operational Knowledge:
Hands‑on experience with quality control procedures and assembly line optimization. - Leadership:
Demonstrated ability to motivate teams, manage conflict, and lead a safety‑conscious workforce. - Software:
Proficiency in manufacturing software; experience with ADP and Google Suites. - Regulatory Knowledge:
Deep understanding of safety regulations (OSHA or equivalent) applicable to manufacturing environments.
