Registered Nurse

Novant Health is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to deliver exceptional patient-centered care within our Healthcare & Medical Services department. In this role, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for diverse patient populations, collaborating closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams. You will utilize evidence-based practices, advanced technology, and thorough documentation to ensure safety and quality. • Provide direct patient care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions.
• Administer medications and treatments safely following established protocols and policies.
• Monitor patient conditions, interpret clinical data, and promptly report changes to the care team.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and update individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge instructions.
• Maintain accurate, timely electronic health records and required documentation.
• Adhere to infection prevention, patient safety, and quality improvement standards.
• Participate in unit-based initiatives, evidence-based practice, and performance improvement projects.
• Support a culture of diversity, respect, and compassionate, patient-centered care.
• Precept or mentor new nurses and nursing students as needed.
• Patient assessment

• IV therapy and venipuncture
• Electronic Health Records (EHR) documentation (e.g., Epic or similar)
• Wound care and dressing changes
• Vital signs and telemetry monitoring
• Clinical decision-making and critical thinking
• Infection prevention and control practices
• Patient and family education

• Current RN license in state of practice.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred or obtained within designated timeframe.
• Specialty certification (e.g., Med-Surg, Critical Care, or similar) preferred.
