As a QA Lab Technician, you will perform laboratory tests. These tests determine chemical and physical characteristics or composition of in-process batches, raw materials, and finished products. The purposes of these tests include quality control, process control, or product development.
This is a 2nd Shift position working the hours of 3:00 PM to 1:30 AM (10 hrs shift Monday‑Thursday) with the ability to work some overtime. You will work an onsite role in a 2nd Shift and report to the Quality Assurance Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure that accurate safety procedures and housekeeping are maintained and conduct work in a manner that protects yourself, co-workers, and the environment.
- Set up, adjust, calibrate, and operate laboratory equipment and instruments such as viscometers, chemical balances, spectrophotometer, and other equipment.
- Test samples of manufactured products to verify conformity to specifications.
- Record test results on batch tickets and in the computer operating system.
- Manage quality records and retains of production batches.
- Evaluate retains of production batches in response to quality complaints.
- Conduct incoming raw materials testing, ensuring conformance to required specifications.
- Perform routine production quality checks to ensure finished products are packaged according to specifications.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required. Minimum High School Chemistry knowledge preferred, but not required.
- 1+ years' experience in a laboratory setting.
- Able to lift up to 20 lbs.
- Ability to clearly identify and communicate issues that need to be addressed and to take necessary steps to avoid future errors.
