Quality Assurance Technician - 1st Shift Job Description Quality Assurance Inspector Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Inspector to join our team. This position is primarily responsible for ensuring products meet internal quality standards and assisting with the maintenance and auditing of Quality and Environmental Management Systems. The successful candidate will work closely with Production and Purchasing to identify, resolve, and prevent quality issues while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Inspect products and fabricated components to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
  • Measure a variety of fabricated parts with tolerances of ±1/8" using appropriate inspection tools and equipment.
  • Assist in maintaining and auditing Quality and Environmental Management Systems.
  • Initiate corrective actions and track resolutions for quality-related issues.
  • Collaborate with Production and Purchasing teams to investigate and resolve quality concerns.
  • Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and blueprints.
  • Maintain accurate inspection and quality records.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
Qualifications Required Skills & Experience
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.
  • Previous quality inspection or manufacturing experience.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform inspections throughout the workday.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Visual acuity required to inspect parts and verify specifications.
