- Set up, operate, and maintain audio-visual equipment for various events, including conferences, corporate meetings, and live performances.
- Collaborate with event coordinators and clients to understand their specific AV needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that may arise during events, ensuring minimal disruption to proceedings.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of AV equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Assist in the design and implementation of AV systems for new installations, including wiring, configuration, and testing.
- Provide training and support to clients and staff on the proper use of AV equipment and technology.
- Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in audio-visual technology to enhance service offerings.
- Document all equipment usage, maintenance, and repairs to maintain accurate records for inventory management.
- Work closely with the production team to ensure that all audio and visual elements are synchronized and meet the event's objectives.
- Participate in post-event evaluations to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement in AV services.
- Manage inventory of AV equipment and supplies, ensuring that all necessary items are available for upcoming events.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of event spaces, ensuring that all equipment is safely stored and organized.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in audio-visual technology or a related field.
- Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting a variety of AV equipment, including projectors, sound systems, and lighting.
- Strong understanding of audio and video signal flow, as well as experience with mixing consoles and video switchers.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients and team members.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel to various event locations.
- Experience with live streaming and virtual event technology, including software and hardware solutions.
- Familiarity with CAD software for designing AV layouts and schematics.
- Certification in AV technology or related fields, such as CTS (Certified Technology Specialist).
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role, particularly in the events or hospitality industry.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices related to AV equipment and event setups.
- Proficient in using AV equipment such as microphones, speakers, projectors, and video conferencing tools.
- Familiarity with software applications for video editing, audio mixing, and live streaming.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Technical aptitude for learning new technologies and adapting to changing industry standards.
- This position is based in Thomasville, Georgia, and may require travel to various event locations within the region.
