Responsibilities
- Provide the proper equipment, training & oversight to ensure the safety of all personnel.
- Promote SAFETY initiatives using corporate direction and the assistance of the EHS Team to develop a safety-conscious culture.
- Plan and schedule the efficient use of associates and equipment to accomplish objectives.
- Coordinate directly with the Production Manager to ensure production and distribution continuously work as a team to achieve objectives.
- Continuously measure/monitor performance according to established standards; complete performance evaluations and provide continuous performance feedback.
- Analyze productivity rates and make recommendations for process/procedure changes to achieve optimum productivity.
- Select, hire, train and appraise Distribution Team Members to attain the highest quality standards of service and achieve optimal productivity levels.
- Support development of Distribution Team Members through various training initiatives and cross‑train associates to achieve a flexible workforce.
- Maintain a highly motivated workforce by providing timely communications, displaying an attitude of consistency and fairness, and providing recognition for good work or ideas.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience with a Warehouse Management System, SAP or AS400 preferred.
- Ability to use personal computer utilizing software such as MSOffice Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint).
- Broad knowledge of and experience with industrial warehousing and product distribution functions such as shipping, receiving, inventory control, work scheduling and customer service.
- Proven track record of success in leading and motivating a team in a warehouse environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge and successful application of sound employee relations practices including coaching and corrective action.
- Working collaboratively as part of a fast‑paced team.
- Communicating effectively with a wide range of individuals.
- Driving optimization and results.
