Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Distribution Manager to oversee our logistics and distribution operations from 2pm until finished, Monday - Thursday.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in warehouse operations, routing and delivery truck loading. This role is critical in ensuring efficient distribution processes that meet customer demands while optimizing costs. The Distribution Manager will lead a team, implement process improvements, and utilize various management systems to enhance overall operational efficiency.

Duties

• Oversee daily distribution operations, ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment.
• Utilize transportation management systems for effective logistics planning and execution.
• Manage warehouse staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high productivity levels.
• Monitor inventory management practices, ensuring optimal stock levels through effective inventory control measures.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts across all distribution functions, utilizing supply chain analytics for informed decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices in shipping & receiving operations.

Skills

• Strong background in logistics.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and warehouse management systems for streamlined operations.
• Experience in fleet management, dispatching, routing and procurement processes.
• Knowledge of freight handling, shipping & receiving protocols, and materials management.
• Familiarity with Encompass warehouse management system for data management within the distribution environment.
• Excellent supervisory skills with a proven track record of leading teams effectively.
• Strong understanding of warehouse distribution processes, including order fulfillment strategies.

Experience:

• Warehouse management: 3 years (Preferred)
