PAINTING TRADES WORKER

Salary Package: AUD

Job Type: Full time contract base

• Applying paints, varnishes and stains to surfaces using brushes, rollers and sprays
• Preparing and masking deep stains in sub‑surfaces
• Calculating the area to be painted and the amount of paint needed
• Selecting the tools and equipment required for different tasks
• Constructing scaffolding and ladders and placing drop sheets to prevent paint splatter; remove old paint and wallpaper
• Fixing woodwork, filling holes and cracks and sealing surfaces
• Mixing paints to achieve the required colours
• Cleaning equipment and work areas
• Applying paint and decorative paint finishes
• Working with customers on colour selection and styles

• A Diploma or a relevant AQF Certificate III or AQF Certificate IV is required
• A minimum of 3 years experience as a Painting Trades Worker
