Join the City of Thompson as a Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator, contributing to community health with your Level 2 certification. Engage in hands-on operation and maintenance tasks.
The City of Thompson invites applications for a full-time Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator. Candidates must possess Level 2 Wastewater Treatment certification and a Grade 12 diploma or equivalent. You will be responsible for operating and repairing facilities while ensuring all processes are recorded accurately.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate wastewater treatment machinery and systems
• Perform maintenance on lift stations and lagoons
• Clean, unplug pumps, and repair valves
• Monitor and document essential processes
• Maintain buildings and outdoor facilities
Requirements:
• Level 2 Wastewater Treatment certification required
• Grade 12 education or equivalent
• Class 5 MB Driver’s License
• Experience with hand tools and plumbing
• Effective communicator and team collaborator
Contribute to public health and municipal success through wastewater management in Thompson.
