Join the City of Thompson as a Water and Sewer Technician. This full-time position is essential for maintaining infrastructure, focusing on sewer and water line repair and construction.
The successful candidate will possess Level 2 Water Distribution and Wastewater Collection certifications. You will be responsible for the upkeep of sanitary sewer lines and storm sewers, ensuring all tools and equipment are in top condition. Effective plumbing repair experience is key in this rewarding position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct construction and repairs on water and sewer lines
• Clean and maintain house and main sewer connections
• Ensure tools and equipment functionality, reporting issues
Requirements:
• Certification in Water Distribution and Wastewater Collection Level 2
• Completed Grade 12 or equivalent
• Class 5 Manitoba Driver's License required
• Experience in plumbing repair or maintenance
• Good communication skills with both public and team members
