Cast Member

City Year seeks Ameri Corps Members to serve full-time in public schools, supporting students' academic and social-emotional growth. In this education-focused role, you'll provide tutoring, mentor students, assist in classrooms, and lead small-group interventions. You'll collaborate with school staff and a diverse team to create a positive learning environment. City Year offers comprehensive training, leadership development, and exposure to education and youth development careers in a mission-driven, inclusive culture dedicated to advancing educational equity.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one and small group academic tutoring in core subjects during and after school
• Build positive, consistent mentoring relationships with students to support social-emotional growth
• Support teachers with classroom activities, behavior management, and learning interventions
• Assist with planning and leading school wide events, initiatives, and attendance/engagement activities
• Track student progress, maintain accurate records, and report on outcomes
• Collaborate closely with a diverse team of Ameri
• Corps members, teachers, and school staff
• Participate in ongoing training, reflection, and professional development sessions
• Engage families and community partners to support student success
• Model leadership, equity, and inclusion in daily interactions with students and colleagues
• Uphold Ameri
