Global Partners is looking for a Food Service Supervisor / Deli Lead.
The Fresh Food Service Supervisor is responsible for directing and supervising all activities in the deli and food service department and its personnel to achieve merchandising, sales, and guest service goals established for the department.
Your Role, Your Impact- Direct department personnel, meeting department goals and objectives, communicating directly with store management and department supervisors.
- Select, on‑board, and coach all new team members.
- Schedule all team members.
- Provide product information, selling suggestions, active sampling, and a genuine thank you to guests.
- Take guest orders and ensure they are completed on time and to the guest's satisfaction.
- Ensure department personnel follow all county, city, and company food safety and sanitation guidelines and policies.
- Order products and supplies necessary to maintain adequate stock levels and merchandising standards.
- Oversee preparation, serving, and merchandising of deli and food service items, including breakfast, lunch, dinner entrees, fried foods, pizzas, salads, soups, sandwiches, roller grill items, hot and cold beverages, and snack items.
- Display deli and food service items according to department and company merchandising guidelines.
- Follow product recipes without deviation.
- Attend to rotating deli/food service items for sale, ensuring quality, safety, and product shrink control.
- Receive merchandise for sale and supplies, audit invoices, break down orders, and position cases in storage, refrigerated walk‑in coolers, or frozen walk‑in freezers.
- Periodically count product for inventory purposes.
- Complete all paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.
- Process cash register transactions, provide change, and issue refunds.
- Operate the scale printer machine, ensuring weights and pricing are correct.
- Monitor product pricing, signage, placement, and use of shelf tags and signage.
- Keep sales counters, food prep areas, warehouse shelving, and walk‑in coolers/freezers clean, neat, and orderly.
- Ensure all personnel use proper safety equipment and procedures.
- Perform other duties as needed or assigned by management.
- Work with deli ingredients including meats, vegetables, fruits, spices, nuts, flavorings, sauces, and oils.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
- Flexibility to work weekend, holiday, and/or evening shifts and assist other locations as needed.
- At least 2 years of prior experience in a fresh food environment, preferably in a managerial role.
- Must have reliable transportation and an active driver's license.
- Serv Safe certification preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
- Comfortable working in walk‑in coolers and freezers.
- Ability to stand for long periods, bend and twist below waist, frequently lift and maneuver merchandise and supplies, and reach above shoulder height.
- Dexterity with hands and fingers necessary for use of knives, slicers, burners, ovens, fryers, and rotisseries.
- Vocational or Technical Education;
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
