Human Resource Assistant/Safety Coordinator
Description: This role manages the day-to-day administration of the Human Resources operations and employee safety program. The position administers recruitment, onboarding, benefits, leave administration, personnel records, safety initiatives, workers' compensation, and regulatory compliance while assisting the Human Resources Director with strategic Human Resources planning and organizational initiatives. The position exercises independent judgment in carrying out assigned responsibilities and serves as a resource to supervisors and employees regarding Human Resources policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Education
· Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a closely related field required. With a minimum of Two (2) years of progressively responsible Human Resources experience, preferably in local government. - Associate’s degree in human resources management, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a closely related field required. With a minimum of Four (4) years of progressively responsible Human Resources experience, preferably in local government
- Or Combination of 6 years of acceptable education and experience as described above.
- Possession of or ability to readily obtain Safety Coordinator Certification.
- Possession of or ability to readily obtain valid State Driver’s License issued by the state of Georgia.
