We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented CNC Laser/Turret Machine Operator to join our production team. In this role, you will set up, operate, and maintain CNC laser cutting and turret punch machines to produce high-quality sheet metal components according to customer specifications. We are looking for a results-driven individual who takes pride in quality craftsmanship, works safely, and contributes to an efficient and productive manufacturing environment.
Compensation& Schedule
Pay Range: $ per hour (Starting rate commensurate with experience)
$1,000 Hiring Bonus paid over your first year of employment
- Monday – Thursday
- 6:00
Am-4:30PM - 4-Day Work Week
- Machine Operation:
Set up, operate, and monitor CNC laser cutting and turret punch machines to produce parts according to blueprints, specifications, and production requirements. - Program Operation:
Load and edit CNC programs, make necessary machine adjustments, and ensure equipment is set up for efficient production runs. - Material Handling:
Load and unload sheet metal and other materials safely and efficiently. Operate a forklift or other material-handling equipment to move materials and completed parts. - Quality Control:
Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using calipers, gauges, tape measures, and other precision measuring tools to ensure parts meet print and quality specifications. - Machine Adjustments:
Monitor cutting, punching, and forming quality and make adjustments to machine settings as needed to maintain quality and productivity. - Equipment Care:
Perform routine machine maintenance, including cleaning, inspection, and basic troubleshooting to help ensure equipment operates efficiently. - Troubleshooting:
Identify and communicate equipment or quality concerns and assist with troubleshooting machine or program issues. - Post-Processing:
Remove, separate, and stack completed parts from sheets or skeletons and prepare finished products for the next stage of production. - Safety & Housekeeping:
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following all company safety policies and procedures.
- Technical
Skills:
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions. - Experience:
Previous experience operating CNC laser, turret punch, or other CNC manufacturing equipment preferred. - Mechanical Aptitude:
Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills and basic shop math skills. - Quality Focus:
Experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers, gauges, and tape measures. - Material Handling:
Forklift experience preferred; certification is a plus. - Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and remain active throughout the workday in a manufacturing environment. - Computer
Skills:
Basic computer skills for program loading, data entry, and machine operation.
