No two days are the sameexpect a mix of planned work, problem-solving, and specialist projects. Your responsibilities will include:
Carrying out refurbishment and repair work across our crane fleet and ancillary equipment Supporting special projects, including structural fabrication work beyond standard vehicle repairs Working collaboratively with the Workshop Supervisor and Manager Ensuring all work meets safety and quality standardsevery time Helping ensure all vehicles leaving the depot are safe, compliant, and road-ready
What Were Looking For Were after someone who knows their craft and takes pride in their work. Youll need: A recognised apprenticeship (minimum 3 years) in fabrication, welding, or vehicle body repair Strong experience with MIG, TIG, and argon arc welding The ability to read and work from engineering drawings, working accurately within tolerances Hands-on experience with bending machines, drills, saws, and other workshop equipment Confidence using cutting methods such as oxy/acetylene and plasma The Ainscough Way Were big on attitude as well as ability.
