Special Education Teacher in Thornton

These on-site positions focus on supporting students with diverse needs within dedicated center-based programs and mainstream settings. Multiple full-time opportunities are available at both elementary and high school levels, including roles specializing in Affective Needs, Structured Learning Services, and SSN programs.

• Valid and active Colorado Department of Education (CO DOE) certification in Special Education
• Experience working with elementary and/or secondary students with affective, structured learning, or significant support needs (SSN)
• A flexible, collaborative mindset to adapt to the needs of different school communities
• Strong communication skills for partnering with staff, students, and families
• Ability to manage and adapt to a dynamic caseload
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom environment

• Deliver specialized instruction tailored to individual student needs following IEP goals
• Work collaboratively with general education teachers, support staff, and families
• Provide direct intervention and behavioral support as needed
• Maintain accurate records, progress monitoring, and compliance documentation
• Adapt teaching methods to suit unique learning differences
• Serve as an advocate for students, promoting their academic and social growth

Opportunities span multiple school sites in the North Denver area, including full-time roles at Centennial, Westview, Eagleview, Westlake, and Northglenn campuses. Prescreen interviews will be scheduled flexibly, primarily between 9-11 a.m. and 2-3 p.m. EST.
