Job Description

The faculty member will conduct assignments and co-curricular college activities in a manner consistent with the College’s philosophy and purpose. The primary purpose of the faculty member is to teach. This is a part-time faculty position teaching college-level American Sign Language (ASL) courses. Occasional travel may be required.
Job Duties- Teach 1000 & 2000-level American Sign Language courses in person.
- Maintain compliance with the provisions of the College’s part-time faculty position description and College Policies and Procedures.
- Teach at any scheduled time including evenings and weekends as assigned by Department Chair or Academic Dean.
- Teach at any College location (Fort Lupton, Greeley, Loveland, Windsor) as assigned.
- Provide effective and high quality instruction by continually refining and modernizing curriculum to remain educationally sound and meet the high standards of the College.
- Design, implement, and evaluate curriculum using written plans.
- Post and maintain teaching and office hour schedules.
- Use alternative delivery technology in lecture and laboratory instruction to enhance student learning.
- Embrace and apply the provisions of the institutional Mission, Vision and Philosophy.
- Apply learning-centered educational practices such as creating and communicating clearly defined outcomes for student learning.
- Participate in assessment of student learning outcomes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Master’s degree in American Sign Language or master’s degree in a related field with 18 graduate-level credit hours in American Sign Language.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate in American Sign Language effectively.
