** We are looking for Full Time, Entry Level Adult Ski instructors!

Full time, seasonal positions to begin in December and end mid-April. Must be at least 18 years old. Must be available to work weekends and holidays. Looking for individuals who demonstrate an enthusiasm for skiing and enjoy educating all ages and ability levels. This position will be primarily working with our adult students; ages 18 and up, with the expectation of teaching in the youth school and youth programs, ages 3-17, as needed.

* Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

** The Ski and Ride School Instructor will ensure the best possible experience for the Copper Mountain guest, working on an individual basis and as a part of the overall mission of the resort. Instructors will lead group classes while focusing on individual engagement and progression. The instructor faces key challenges in creating guest loyalty through great experiences in a short time frame.

The instructor will successfully instill confidence in teaching skiing ability to our guests. Provide an unsurpassed mountain vacation experience every day.

Performance Objectives:
* Develops a rapport with students quickly, establishing a connection with the students. Learning names, welcoming new students with warmth. The lesson starts before the lesson starts.
* Has a serious focus on safety and whereabouts of all students. Weaves safety culture into teaching:
Safety is a habit, not a lecture. Asking students safety questions rather than stating rules. Uses terrain to produce safe movement.
* Identifies different learning styles among students and can effectively demonstrate different teaching styles to reflect them.
* Understands what the beginner ski progressions are for different age levels of students and can demonstrate them to the class. Additionally, the instructor will be able to identify ability level in students and split them into groups by ability level when needed.
* Engages the class 100% of the time, while simultaneously focusing on individual and unique student needs. Reads when a plan isn’t working and changes course without making it a big deal.
