Position: Fall 2026 Adjunct Faculty

** Join us at Colorado School of Mines as an Adjunct faculty member for our  Fall 2026 semester! These positions are not eligible for visa sponsorship and will not be in the future.

Adjunct faculty are hired per semester. All the listed courses are taught in a coordinated setting which includes use of the common homework and exams, as well as a common course calendar and learning objectives. At a minimum, adjunct faculty participate in group grading for course exams and will perform other grading duties depending on the course. All course materials and student communications are managed using the learning management system, Canvas.

Dependent on the specific teaching assignment, the rate of pay (stipend) per credit hour assignment can be between $1,000 and $8,000.

Key Responsibilities:

* Teach assigned classes as per course syllabus and schedule to meet the required contact hours, including holding weekly office hours.
* Employ relevant teaching strategies and foster a supportive learning environment that encourages student success.
* Assess student work and progress toward mastery of learning outcomes with timely feedback.
* Develop, assess, and improve course materials, assignments, and delivery (as necessary).At minimum, we require:
* Master’s degree in related field (Bachelor's may be accepted within specific disciplines)
* Demonstrated prior experience teaching at the college-level or training at a corporate level

Preference given to:
* Demonstrated ability to work in a team and teach in a coordinated setting
* Experience with learning management systems (e.g. Canvas)
* Familiarity with best practices in associated pedagogies
