This contract position focuses on providing essential Special Education support across multiple elementary schools and district evaluation sites. The assignment spans two academic years, offering consistent engagement and the chance to truly make a difference in the lives of children and families.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct bilingual Child Find evaluations for early childhood students at North Star Elementary, Centennial Elementary, and additional district locations.
- Collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary evaluation team, ensuring accurate assessments and individualized recommendations.
- Deliver both on-site services and district-level evaluations as needed.
- Maintain thorough documentation and communication with families and staff.
- Serve as a resource for educators and families regarding early intervention processes and educational supports.
- Participate in professional development and ongoing training as required.
Qualifications:
- Holds a valid Colorado Department of Education teaching license with an Early Childhood Special Education (SPED) endorsement.
- Bilingual proficiency, with the ability to conduct assessments in both English and another language.
- Experienced in early childhood special education or as a school psychologist (flexibility in role depending on applicant background).
- Familiarity with Child Find protocols and district-wide special education evaluation processes.
- Capable of working across multiple school sites, comfortable providing both individual and team-based support.
- Strong communication, assessment, and documentation skills.
- Able to complete required district credentialing before the start date.
