Position: Special Education Teacher in Thornton, CO

This contract role involves working on-site at multiple locations, supporting students growth through specialized assessments and interventions. Key

Qualifications:
  • Hold a current Colorado Department of Education Teaching License with endorsement in Early Childhood Special Education.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Special Education Teacher, Early Childhood SPED teacher, or School Psychologist (bilingual abilities required).
  • History of delivering comprehensive evaluations, with a focus on early childhood students.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both English and another language, assisting diverse student populations.
  • Strong organizational skills, with flexibility to work across multiple sites and adapt to district requirements.
  • Must complete district contractor paperwork prior to start.
What Youll Do :
  • Conduct bilingual child find evaluations at various elementary locations and district-wide as needed.
  • Support early intervention efforts through collaborative assessments and team-based planning.
  • Travel between North Star Elementary, Centennial Elementary, and additional sites as assigned.
  • Work with a bilingual evaluation team to provide accurate, effective, and compassionate recommendations.
  • Maintain essential records and documentation according to district standards and timelines.
  • Serve as a resource for early childhood special education strategies and culturally responsive assessment.

This position allows you to contribute directly to identifying and supporting students in need, while working alongside dedicated professionals.
