Special Education Teacher

Full-Time available:
Middle School & Elementary School
Available Settings

• Approximately 50% Significant Support Needs (SSN) and 50% Learning Specialist responsibilities
• Support approximately 14 students in the SSN program, plus additional mild/moderate support students
• Develop individualized instructional strategies and support student learning and progress
• Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and school staff

• Structured Learning Services / Center-Based Program
• Primary focus on K-2
• Caseload of approximately 8-14 students
• Support students with Autism and varying support needs
• Work alongside paraprofessionals and school support staff
• Implement structured classroom routines and effective behavior-management strategies

• Provide specialized instruction based on individual student needs
• Develop and implement individualized educational strategies
• Support academic, behavioral, social, and developmental goals
• Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed
• Implement accommodations and modifications
• Maintain accurate student and service documentation
• Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, specialists, and families
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and student-centered learning environment

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Education, or a related field
• Active Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Special Education license/credential required and must be in hand for consideration
• Experience working with students with diverse learning and support needs preferred
• Experience with Autism, SSN, Mod/Severe, or behavior management is strongly preferred for applicable assignments
• Strong classroom-management, communication, and collaboration skills
• Ability to work effectively in an onsite school environment
