American Traveler is hiring a full-time Special Education Teacher for a center-based Structured Learning Services program supporting K-5 students with Autism, requiring a CDE license in-hand.
Requirements- Colorado Department of Education (CDE) license required in-hand for consideration
- License required if applicable
- Experience with Autism and behavior management required
- Strength in systems and structures a plus
- Colorado CBI and FBI fingerprinting clearance required
- Non-clinical school setting in a center-based Structured Learning Services program for students with Autism
- Focus age group K-5 with an emphasis on grades K-2
- Caseload of approximately 8-14 students
- Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM)
- Contracted for 40 hours per week
- Classroom support provided by paraprofessionals assigned based on student need
- Work within a supportive community alongside a long-term teacher in a second program
- Targeted district support provided to teachers
- Fingerprinting clearance should be completed promptly upon contract signing
